Personal Info
My running began in 1975 and has continued on a consistent basis for the last 31 years. My philosophy of “Don't Limit Your Challenges—Challenge Your Limits” has enabled me to become living proof that we can achieve much more than what we normally expect of ourselves. We must set goals, both short and long term, and relentlessly pursue them. My current long term goal is to represent the 79 million Baby Boomers, as a spokesperson who exemplifies the virtues of being responsible for our own level of health and fitness.
I possess a Bachelor's Degree in marketing from Indiana University, and through self-motivation and self-promotion, I have successfully organized and executed four nationally recognized running events. I have had audiences with President Carter, Senator Lugar, numerous Governors and Mayors, and my world record breaking marathon efforts of 1993 are detailed in the February 4th, 1994 edition of the United States Congressional Record.
I have a Master's Degree in counseling from Christian Theological Seminary. This education and training provides me with the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds — from Presidents to “real” people.
I profess to be a "Blue Collar Athlete" with a God given talent for marathon and ultra-distance running. My reputation and appeal is best exemplified by my endurance, organization and tenacity. One of the advertising appeals that I possess is my grass roots image. My background has proven that I have a creative mind and the passion and the ability to make things happen. |
